Profile

StoneCo Ltd.STNEInformation Technology

Provides Brazilian merchants with card and Pix acceptance, digital banking, receivables prepayment, and credit, earning transaction, rental, subscription, and financial income. Stone serves small and midsize businesses while digital-first Ton targets micro-merchants; the business now reports as one financial-services segment after divesting Linx and other software assets.

Provides payment acceptance, digital banking, receivables prepayment, and merchant credit across Brazil, with Stone aimed at small and midsize businesses and Ton built as a digital-first offer for micro-merchants. Merchants use its terminals and apps to accept cards and Pix, manage accounts and transfers, and access working-capital, revolving-credit, and card products.

Combines proprietary technology with local sales, logistics, and support; revenue comes from transaction services, subscriptions and equipment rental, and financial income tied to prepayments, deposits, and lending. The sale of Linx and other software assets left a single continuing segment focused on financial services, with a smaller retained software operation.

Results depend on Brazilian merchant activity, payment volume, funding costs, credit performance, and compliance with Central Bank rules governing payment and financial institutions.
