Profile

Ecopetrol S.A.ECEnergy

Produces oil and gas, moves hydrocarbons through pipelines, refines fuels and petrochemicals, and operates power transmission and toll roads through ISA. State control and Colombia-centered hydrocarbon operations shape capital allocation and operating exposure.

Exploration and Production supplies crude oil and natural gas to external buyers and the group’s own transport and refining systems. Refining and Petrochemicals sells fuels, petrochemicals, natural gas and LPG, while Transport and Logistics runs the pipeline network.

Hydrocarbon operations are centered in Colombia and extend to the United States, Brazil and Mexico. ISA adds electricity transmission, real-time power-system management and toll-road concessions across Latin America, making infrastructure a material business alongside oil and gas.

The Colombian state retains control, linking board selection and major capital-allocation decisions to the public-policy environment. Performance depends on commodity-linked sales, reserve replacement, refinery and pipeline availability, and security conditions around physical assets.
