Profile
Provides customized debt and equity financing to U.S. lower-middle-market companies, supporting ownership changes, recapitalizations, acquisitions, and expansions. Debt investments generate current income while equity-related investments target capital appreciation through a listed BDC and SBIC-fund platform.
Provides customized first-lien, second-lien and subordinated debt, plus equity investments, to U.S. lower-middle-market companies. Financing supports ownership changes, recapitalizations, strategic acquisitions, expansions and other growth initiatives; business owners, management teams and financial sponsors are counterparties.
Operates as an externally managed BDC, with Fidus Investment Advisors handling day-to-day investment management and administration while the board provides oversight. The listed vehicle invests directly and through wholly owned SBIC subsidiaries; debt is intended to generate current income, while equity-related investments are intended for capital appreciation. Portfolio values and operating results remain tied to portfolio-company credit performance, investment realizations, and the external-management and BDC/RIC/SBIC framework.
