Profile
Provides consumer, commercial and municipal banking in Western and Central New York through Five Star Bank. Courier Capital adds investment advice, wealth management, financial planning and consulting to the holding company’s service mix.
Five Star Bank provides consumer, commercial and municipal banking across Western and Central New York, supplemented by commercial lending through loan-production offices. Courier Capital supplies investment advice, wealth management, financial planning and consulting.
Five Star Bank is the group’s banking subsidiary, while Courier Capital is its investment-advisory and wealth-management subsidiary. The operating structure combines a community-bank franchise with advisory services, following the 2005 consolidation of legacy subsidiary banks under the Five Star name.
Operations remain focused on Western and Central New York, while Courier Capital also has offices in Pittsburgh and Sarasota. Banking and advisory activities operate within the holding-company structure, and the company traces its banking continuity to the National Bank of Geneva, organized in 1817.
