Profile

General Motors CompanyGMConsumer Discretionary

Designs and sells Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac vehicles, with North American trucks and SUVs at the center of the portfolio. GM Financial earns from consumer, lease, and dealer financing, while international operations include China joint ventures and Cruise technology now feeds personal-vehicle driver assistance.

Designs, builds, and sells trucks, crossovers, cars, and parts under Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac, spanning mainstream pickups and SUVs through luxury vehicles. GM North America is the core automotive operation, while GM International reaches markets outside North America and participates in China through joint ventures. The portfolio mixes internal-combustion and electric models, with full-size trucks and SUVs central to performance.

GM Financial supplies consumer loans and leases plus dealer inventory financing. Software-enabled subscriptions and Super Cruise extend revenue beyond the vehicle sale; autonomous-development work from Cruise now supports personal-vehicle driver assistance rather than robotaxis. Manufacturing scale, broad brands, and the dealer network support distribution and service, while results depend on vehicle demand, pricing, supplier continuity, financing conditions, emissions and safety rules, tariffs, labor relations, and China joint-venture partners.
