Profile
Kinross runs mine operations that produce gold and small amounts of silver across the Americas, Africa and Europe. The 2025 mine footprint centered on major producers including Tasiast, Paracatu, Fort Knox with Manh Choh, La Coipa, Round Mountain and Bald Mountain, while operations are supported from Canadian headquarters.
Kinross operates gold-focused mines and associated facilities in Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Chile, Mauritania and Finland. Operations are organized so each significant mine is generally tracked as a separate segment, with Fort Knox including a significant Manh Choh interest.
Gold and small silver byproduct are sold through external channels, while major production lines remain in place at Tasiast, Paracatu, Fort Knox and Manh Choh, La Coipa, Round Mountain, and Bald Mountain. Operational execution is influenced by local permitting, ore quality, and mine-level cost control.
The business model depends on sustained extraction economics and metal price outcomes. Production mix, reserve conversion, and geographic dispersion shape operating rhythm more than finished-product variation, while employees and operating systems anchor the structure.
