Profile

KLA CorporationKLACInformation Technology

Sells inspection, metrology, process-control software and services that chipmakers use to detect defects and improve manufacturing yields, plus specialty deposition and etch tools and PCB inspection systems. Semiconductor process control dominates the business, while installed-base service adds a recurring layer and demand follows chipmakers' capital-spending cycles.

Supplies inspection, metrology, chemistry process-control systems, software and services that help chip, wafer and reticle manufacturers detect defects, measure process variation and improve yields. Semiconductor Process Control is the dominant segment, spanning wafer and reticle inspection, metrology and analysis software from research through volume production.

Specialty Semiconductor Process adds deposition, etch and plasma-dicing tools for MEMS, radio-frequency and power devices. PCB and Component Inspection provides imaging, inspection, test and measurement systems for circuit boards, IC substrates and packaged chips. Installed-base service supports uptime, productivity and tool life across all three segments.

Sells mainly outside the United States and maintains manufacturing, research and customer support across major semiconductor regions. Demand follows chipmakers' cyclical capital spending, while sales and service to certain customers in China depend on evolving US export controls.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.

A split settled inside the quarter being compared, so quarter-on-quarter change is not shown.
