Profile

Moelis & CompanyMCFinancials

Advises corporations, financial sponsors, governments, and sovereign wealth funds on mergers, restructurings, capital markets, and private-capital transactions, earning substantially all revenue from advisory fees. Operates one global advisory segment without balance-sheet lending or trading, leaving fees sensitive to deal completion and client activity.

Advises corporations, financial sponsors, governments, and sovereign wealth funds through M&A and Strategic Advisory, Capital Markets, Capital Structure Advisory, and Private Capital Advisory. Work spans mergers, divestitures, shareholder matters, public and private financings, restructurings, and private-fund primary and secondary transactions across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Operates as an independent, single-segment advisory firm rather than a lender or trading platform. Senior bankers combine industry, product, and regional expertise across engagements, while a discretionary compensation model supports collaboration across the global platform.

Earns substantially all revenue from advisory engagements, with many transaction fees contingent on completion. Results therefore depend on client activity, market and financing conditions, regulatory approvals, transaction timing, and retaining bankers with client relationships.

The provider's float is smaller than the insider stake it should exclude, so it is not shown.
