MediWound Ltd.MDWDHealth Care

Sells an approved enzymatic biologic that clears burn eschar without surgery and develops a Phase III chronic-wound candidate on the same platform, earning royalties and profit share through North American partner Vericel alongside government contracts and direct international sales, all produced at one manufacturing site in Israel.

One bromelain-derived enzyme platform underlies three products at different stages: NexoBrid, an approved biologic that clears burn eschar without surgery; EscharEx, in a global Phase III trial for venous leg ulcers; and MW005, an early skin-cancer candidate.

Regional partners carry distribution instead of an owned salesforce: Vericel in North America, Kaken in Japan, Mankind in India, and PolyMedics International in Europe, with the approved-country footprint wider than the still-ramping U.S. launch.

A run of successful pivotal trials backs clearances from the FDA, EMA, and Japan's PMDA, all produced at one vertically integrated plant in Yavne, Israel. U.S. revenue arrives as royalties and profit share through Vericel rather than direct sales, government contracts with BARDA and the Department of Defense add a further layer, and filings run on Form 20-F as a foreign private issuer with a single reportable segment.
