Profile
Sells Marlboro cigarettes, Black & Mild cigars, Copenhagen and Skoal moist smokeless tobacco, on! nicotine pouches, and NJOY e-vapor products, primarily in the United States. Pricing and brand scale support the cigarette franchise as volumes decline, while FDA oversight, state settlement payments, and NJOY patent restrictions shape the business.
Owns U.S. nicotine businesses spanning Marlboro cigarettes, Black & Mild machine-made cigars, Copenhagen and Skoal moist smokeless tobacco, on! oral nicotine pouches, and NJOY e-vapor products. Marlboro remains the country’s largest-selling cigarette brand and is sold principally through wholesalers and large retail chains.
Uses pricing to offset declining cigarette shipments while expanding on! and on! PLUS. NJOY ACE, its principal e-vapor product, is barred from U.S. importation and sale under an International Trade Commission patent order. Equity investments in AB InBev and Cronos sit outside the core operating portfolio.
Generates substantially all revenue from U.S. customers. FDA rules govern product authorization and marketing; state settlement payments and tobacco litigation remain continuing obligations.
