Profile
Licenses global indexes and investment tools through subscriptions and fees linked to assets or trading, while also selling portfolio analytics, sustainability and climate data, and private-asset intelligence. Indexes generate most revenue, tying results partly to market levels, index-product adoption, major clients, and third-party data.
Licenses global equity and multi-asset indexes as benchmarks and the basis for exchange-traded funds, derivatives, and custom investment products. The Index segment spans market-cap, factor, fixed-income, sustainability, climate, thematic, and custom indexes; fees combine subscriptions with charges linked to assets or trading volumes.
Sells Barra and RiskMetrics portfolio, risk, and performance analytics alongside Sustainability and Climate ratings, data, and tools. Private Assets combines Real Assets benchmarks and transaction data with Private Capital Solutions covering private equity, credit, infrastructure, and natural resources.
Serves institutions worldwide through applications, APIs, data feeds, and third-party platforms. Indexes generate most revenue, while results also depend on capital-market levels, index-product adoption, major clients, and third-party data and distribution.

Ownership
A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
