Profile

S&P Global Inc.SPGIFinancials

Provides market data and workflow tools, credit ratings, commodity price benchmarks, and financial indices through four global divisions. Revenue comes from subscriptions, issuance and surveillance fees, and licenses tied partly to indexed assets and trading volumes; the former Mobility business now operates independently.

Supplies financial-market infrastructure through four divisions: S&P Global Market Intelligence, S&P Global Ratings, S&P Global Energy, and S&P Dow Jones Indices. Their products span Capital IQ data and workflow tools, credit ratings and research, Platts price assessments and commodity analytics, and benchmarks such as the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Serves institutions and commercial customers worldwide through subscriptions, data feeds, software, transaction fees, and licenses. Proprietary datasets and established methodologies support recurring workflows, while ratings and index franchises earn fees tied to securities issuance, assets in indexed products, and derivatives trading.

Following the completed Mobility spin-off, the portfolio centers on capital and commodity markets. Ratings operates under financial regulation across multiple jurisdictions, while index and energy benchmark fees vary with asset levels, derivatives trading, and commodity-market activity.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
