Profile
Sells mobile hydraulic, lattice-boom crawler, and tower cranes under the Grove, Potain, and Manitowoc brands, distributed mainly through a global dealer network. Revenue spans three geographic segments — the Americas, Europe/Africa, and the Middle East/Asia Pacific — with a growing aftermarket layer of parts, service, remanufacturing, rental, and telematics meant to soften construction-cycle swings.
Designs and manufactures mobile hydraulic, lattice-boom crawler, and tower cranes under the Grove, Potain, Manitowoc, National Crane, and Shuttlelift brands, plus two US equipment-distributor brands. Cranes serve heavy construction, energy, infrastructure, and residential building projects.
Manufacturing runs across plants in the US, France, Germany, and Italy, feeding three geographic segments — the Americas, Europe/Africa, and the Middle East/Asia Pacific — with the Americas generating the largest share. Sales flow mainly through independent dealers, backed by wholly owned US distributors.
A 2016 spin-off separated the crane business from the company's former foodservice operations, leaving a crane-only portfolio built around the CRANES+50 push into parts, service, remanufacturing, rental, and telematics. New-crane demand still tracks construction and infrastructure cycles, with European orders sensitive to housing permits and US orders tied to public infrastructure spending.
