Grew out of a single-branch bank founded in Orrstown, Pennsylvania, in 1919, organized under a holding company in 1987. The bank, run under the Orrstown Bank name, now operates 42 offices across 17 counties in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Community Banking is the sole reportable segment: commercial and agricultural lending, consumer deposits and home-equity credit, residential mortgages, and municipal loans. Wealth management runs through Orrstown Financial Advisors' trust, custody, and investment-advisory services, plus retail brokerage via a third-party broker-dealer.
The franchise roughly doubled in size in mid-2024 through a merger of equals with Codorus Valley Bancorp of York, Pennsylvania, folding its PeoplesBank subsidiary into Orrstown Bank and reaching into the Baltimore, Maryland area. Adam L. Metz succeeded Thomas Quinn as President and CEO in mid-2026, after Quinn's seventeen-year tenure.
