Profile
Offers deposit accounts, commercial and consumer lending, trust and wealth services, digital banking, and corporate cash management through Old Second National Bank. The business is concentrated in northern Illinois, with Community Banking as its only reportable segment and a loan book shaped by commercial real estate and powersport exposure.
Community Banking is the only reportable segment, built around Old Second National Bank's deposit accounts, commercial, residential, and consumer lending, trust and wealth management, online and mobile banking, and corporate cash management. The franchise is concentrated in northern Illinois, including the Chicago-area counties added through recent branch and bank acquisitions.
Recent expansion came through the West Suburban merger, First Merchants branch purchase, and Bancorp Financial/Evergreen acquisition. That enlarged the branch network and added specialty powersport lending while keeping the company centered on community banking rather than a national footprint.
Operating results depend on deposit funding, lending spreads, credit quality in commercial real estate, and integration of acquired portfolios. Recent credit disclosures pointed to pressure from a downtown Chicago office credit and another commercial relationship.
