Profile
Deploys capital through middle-market credit and equity investments, alongside gem-and-jewelry financing and specialty insurance holdings. As an internally managed, non-diversified BDC, income is driven principally by portfolio interest and dividends while controlled affiliates represent material positions.
Deploys capital across middle-market loans, private equity and other investments, while also pursuing liquid credit, customized lower-middle-market financings and selected control positions. Investment income comes principally from portfolio interest and dividends, with realized and unrealized gains or losses arising as holdings are sold or revalued.
Operates chiefly through U.S.-headquartered portfolio companies; major affiliated holdings extend the mandate into specialty finance. FlexFIN provides collateralized financing to gem and jewelry merchants and auction buyers, while National Security Group offers life, accident and health coverage nationwide and specialty property-and-casualty insurance across much of the Southeast.
Remains a non-diversified BDC with an internally managed structure, a small investment team and material positions in FlexFIN and NSG. Its regulated status requires qualifying-asset, asset-coverage, income, diversification and distribution tests.
