Profile

United Parks & Resorts Inc.PRKSConsumer Discretionary

Runs U.S. theme and water parks under SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, and Adventure Island, earning from admissions and in-park purchases. Owned parks are grouped in regional clusters, while SeaWorld Abu Dhabi contributes royalties and service fees through a partnership.

Operates twelve U.S. theme and water parks under SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, and Adventure Island. The parks combine rides, animal encounters, presentations, shows, seasonal events, and premium experiences. Revenue comes primarily from admission tickets and from food, merchandise, parking, and other purchases made during visits.

Geographic clusters around major population centers and tourism markets support multi-park packages, cross-marketing, and shared overhead. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi extends the portfolio through a licensing and services partnership rather than an owned park. The business reports all parks as one segment and depends on attendance, guest spending, regular attraction investment, and licenses and permits governing animals and third-party brands. Its fixed operating base includes labor, maintenance, animal care, utilities, property taxes, and insurance.
