Profile
Combines PGIM’s global asset management with U.S. retirement, group insurance, individual life, and international protection businesses. Revenue comes from premiums, policy charges, asset-based fees, and investment income; long-duration insurance liabilities and a large Japan franchise create material exposure to markets, currencies, policyholder behavior, and regulation.
Combines PGIM’s asset-management platform with retirement, group insurance, individual life, and international protection businesses. PGIM manages public fixed income and equity, private credit, real estate, and multi-asset strategies for institutions, retail clients, and affiliated insurance operations.
Earns premiums and policy charges from insurance and annuities, asset-based fees from investment management, and income on assets backing customer liabilities. International insurance is centered on Japan and extends across selected markets. Credit and real-asset expertise supports third-party mandates and the portfolios behind retirement and insurance obligations.
Separately managed U.S. legacy blocks hold products no longer sold. Results depend on product pricing, investment performance, and matching long-duration assets and liabilities. Interest rates, credit conditions, equity markets, currencies, policyholder behavior, and insurance regulation can materially affect earnings and capital. Prudential of Japan remains under an extended new-sales suspension while strengthening sales-practice oversight and governance.
