Profile

Shutterstock, Inc.SSTKCommunication Services

Sells licensed images, footage, music, 3D models, GIFs, templates, creative-workflow tools, and production services through one reportable segment. Content remains the core category, while data, distribution, and services add metadata licensing for machine-learning and generative-AI customers.

Licenses creative content across Shutterstock, Shutterstock Editorial, Offset, Bigstock, PremiumBeat, TurboSquid, Pond5, GIPHY, Envato, and related brands. The catalog spans images, footage, music, sound effects, 3D models, GIFs, templates, design assets, generative-AI content, and custom production through Shutterstock Studios.

North America is the largest disclosed customer-location region, with Europe and the rest of the world also meaningful. The platform model depends on contributor supply, searchable metadata, customer subscriptions and licenses, royalties, content costs, and enterprise demand for data or metadata used in machine-learning and generative-AI training.

Recent product direction combines human-made content with AI tools for search, generation, editing, and refinement. The Getty Images deal now hinges on a U.K. editorial-market divestiture condition and Getty's announced plan to terminate unless circumstances change.
