Profile
Develops flavors, extracts, dehydrated vegetables, essential oils, and colors for food, beverage, personal-care, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and industrial customers. Revenue comes from customized ingredient sales supported by applications expertise, through product-based Flavors & Extracts and Color groups and a geographically managed Asia Pacific group.
Develops and manufactures flavor systems, extracts, essential oils, dehydrated agricultural ingredients, and natural and synthetic colors. Flavors & Extracts supplies food, beverage, personal-care, and home-care applications; Color serves food and beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, personal-care, and industrial markets. The Asia Pacific Group markets both portfolios through a geographically managed regional organization.
Competes through applications chemistry, customer-specific formulation, quality control, agronomy, sourcing, and a global manufacturing network. These capabilities support customers reformulating products from synthetic to natural colors.
Earns revenue by supplying ingredients to other manufacturers, not from consumer brands. Production and sourcing span U.S. and international markets, while product-safety, labeling, and other regulations govern operations. Certain products are made at only one facility, and some product lines depend on a relatively small group of customers.

Ownership
A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
