Profile
Provides international marine transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, and LNG through a fleet of tankers and carriers. Long-, medium-, and short-term charters, plus a growing DP2 shuttle program, connect vessel capacity with customer transport needs.
Crude-oil and product-tanker services form the core of an international energy-shipping fleet, complemented by LNG carriers and DP2 shuttle tankers. Vessels are employed across international trade routes through long-, medium-, and short-term charters for oil companies and refiners.
A management-company operating structure separates the listed company from the employees of its shipping and technical-management affiliates. Founder and CEO Nikolas P. Tsakos has led the company since inception.
Current investment focuses on LNG capacity and DP2 shuttle tankers. The shuttle-tanker program includes vessels employed in Brazil's offshore market under long-term charter arrangements.
