Profile

The Timken CompanyTKRIndustrials

Sells engineered bearings and industrial-motion products, including drives, gearboxes, linear-motion systems and automated lubrication, with related services. The bearing franchise remains the larger business, while acquisitions assembled the motion portfolio for transportation, infrastructure, automation, power and other industrial markets.

Operates through Engineered Bearings and Industrial Motion, supplying tapered and other engineered bearings alongside drives, gearboxes, linear-motion products, automated lubrication, chains, couplings, clutches and brakes. Related services support mechanical systems used across transportation, infrastructure, automation, power and other industrial markets.

Builds on materials, friction-management and mechanical-systems know-how, with continuous improvement across manufacturing, engineering, quality and cost. The bearing franchise remains the larger business; acquisitions including Philadelphia Gear and Rollon assembled much of the adjacent motion portfolio.

Spans operations in 45 countries and depends on demand across its industrial end markets. A sale of the belts business remains subject to closing conditions. The current company no longer owns the separated steel operation.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
