Profile
Sells GEO connectivity across Broadcast and Enterprise services to telecom, government, corporate, and broadcast customers. Lightspeed combines planned LEO satellites with terrestrial infrastructure.
Operates a GEO fleet providing C-, Ku-, and Ka-band connectivity across broadcast, corporate, telecom, and government markets. Its Broadcast and Enterprise services span aviation, maritime, Latin America, and Canadian and U.S. government customers.
Develops Telesat Lightspeed, a low-Earth-orbit broadband network with terrestrial infrastructure. Demonstration satellites support technology tests, and planned Canadian landing stations will route network data to fibre and internet-exchange points.
The GEO business provides current services while Lightspeed remains in development. The transition depends on infrastructure deployment, spectrum and market access, launches and satellite performance, and financing and regulatory conditions.
