Profile

Twin Disc, IncorporatedTWINIndustrials

Manufactures marine propulsion and power-transmission equipment, from transmissions and drives to propellers, clutches, and controls. Sells through direct sales and distributors into pleasure-craft, commercial and military marine, energy, government, and industrial markets.

Designs, manufactures, and sells marine and heavy-duty off-highway power-transmission equipment. The portfolio spans marine transmissions, azimuth and surface drives, propellers, boat-management systems, power-shift transmissions, hydraulic torque converters, power take-offs, industrial clutches, and controls.

Sells globally through a direct sales force and distributor network into pleasure-craft, commercial and military marine, energy and natural-resources, government, and industrial markets. Acquisitions added Veth propulsion systems, Katsa gearboxes and power-transmission components, and Kobelt controls, propulsion, steering, and braking systems. Commercial-marine demand was temporarily weakened by the existing tariff structure, while oil-and-gas transmission demand into China remained soft.
