Profile

Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc.ALSNConsumer Discretionary

Designs and manufactures fully automatic transmissions, electrified propulsion systems and service parts for commercial and defense vehicles. A second segment adds off-highway axles, gears, gearboxes and motion systems, widening a North America-heavy business while linking execution to cyclical equipment demand and acquisition integration.

Designs and manufactures fully automatic transmissions, electrified propulsion systems and service parts for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, defense platforms and specialized equipment. The Allison Transmission segment also supports an installed base through replacement parts and support equipment.

Extends the portfolio through Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems, which supplies axles, gears, gearboxes and other drivetrain and motion products for construction, agriculture, material handling, mining, forestry and industrial uses. The combined operating model now spans two reportable segments and remains rooted in manufacturing and application-specific engineering.

Generates most legacy sales in North America and sells through vehicle manufacturers plus an independent distributor and dealer network. Execution depends on cyclical equipment demand, emissions and climate rules, labor continuity and integrating the acquired off-highway business.
