Veru Inc.VERUHealth Care

Develops enobosarm with semaglutide to preserve lean mass and physical function during obesity treatment, while advancing sabizabulin for vascular inflammation. It is a pre-commercial drug developer whose model depends on clinical success, regulatory approval, commercialization or partnering, and external financing.

Develops enobosarm, an oral selective androgen receptor modulator, for use with semaglutide in older people with obesity. The program focuses on preserving lean mass and physical function while increasing fat loss during treatment with a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Its active PLATEAU trial evaluates the combination at U.S. clinical sites, and initial labeling would be tied to the specific GLP-1 medicine studied.

Advances sabizabulin, an oral microtubule disruptor, as a potential broad anti-inflammatory treatment for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Continuing operations have no retained marketed product after sales of the former female-condom, urology, and sexual-health businesses. Development, regulatory approval, commercialization or partnering, and external financing therefore underpin the business model. Chronic nonclinical toxicology is required before chronic sabizabulin dosing in atherosclerosis.
