Profile
Produces crude oil and natural gas, then refines, markets and converts hydrocarbons into fuels, petrochemicals, lubricants and specialty materials. An integrated global network links production increasingly centered on the Permian Basin, Guyana and LNG resources with refineries and chemical plants, while lower-emission businesses pursue carbon capture, hydrogen and lithium.
Produces crude oil and natural gas through Upstream, with the Permian Basin, Guyana and LNG resources forming the core growth portfolio. Energy Products refines and markets fuels; Chemical Products makes olefins, polyolefins and intermediates; Specialty Products supplies lubricants, basestocks, waxes, synthetics, elastomers and resins.
Scale, integration and proprietary technology connect production to refineries and chemical plants, while project execution and operating reliability support complex developments across the Americas and a global manufacturing network. Low Carbon Solutions is developing carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and ammonia, lower-emission fuels and lithium alongside the four reportable segments.
Results remain tied to oil and gas prices, refining and chemical margins, reservoir and project performance, partner and government actions, permits and climate policy.
