Profile

Alico, Inc.ALCOConsumer Staples

Manages Florida land through agricultural leases, land sales, and development entitlement work after winding down primary citrus operations. Reported segments still include Alico Citrus and Land Management and Other Operations, but the operating focus has shifted toward diversified agriculture and land monetization.

Owns and manages a Florida land portfolio that long supported citrus, cattle, sugarcane, sod, mining, hunting, conservation, and leasing uses. Formal reporting still includes Alico Citrus alongside Land Management and Other Operations, but primary citrus activity has been substantially wound down after the final major harvest.

Revenue is moving toward agricultural leases and revenue-sharing with growers and operators, strategic land sales, mineral and other land-use leases, and entitlement work around development sites such as Corkscrew Grove Villages. The land base remains concentrated in Florida, with diversified agriculture taking most of the near-term use.

Execution depends on finding productive uses for former grove acreage, completing lease and sale transactions, and securing development permits where land is being prepared for development. Citrus greening and hurricane damage drove the exit from primary citrus operations.
