Profile

Ambarella, Inc.AMBAInformation Technology

Sells low-power edge AI, video, and image-processing SoCs plus radar and automotive software for vehicles, security cameras, robotics, industrial systems, and consumer devices. Revenue comes from chip sales and software licensing under a fabless model, with most sales routed through customers and fulfillment partners in Asia.

Designs low-power system-on-chip semiconductors and software for edge and physical AI, combining CVflow neural-network acceleration with image, video, radar, and sensor-fusion processing. Product lines include CV3 automotive domain controllers, CVflow camera and perception SoCs, N1 edge AI processors, vision processors, B8 serializer/deserializer chips, radar software, and separately licensed software modules. Applications span automotive systems, video security, industrial equipment, robotics, intelligent transportation, and consumer cameras.

Operates a fabless model, concentrating engineering on power-efficient hardware-software integration and software tools that let customers deploy their own or third-party AI models. Sales run through global OEMs, ODMs, automotive suppliers, distributors, and fulfillment partners, while manufacturing, assembly, and testing are outsourced. Most revenue comes from customers in Asia, one fulfillment partner represents most sales, and Samsung supplies the substantial majority of its SoCs.
