Profile
Produces and markets coal from underground complexes in the Illinois Basin and Appalachia. Operating and royalty income comes from coal, while oil-and-gas mineral interests add a second royalty stream; a general partner manages the MLP.
Produces and markets coal from underground mining complexes in the Illinois Basin and Appalachia, supplying domestic and international customers. Its operating footprint also includes a coal-loading terminal.
Beyond coal production and marketing, the partnership earns royalty income from coal and oil-and-gas mineral interests. Matrix Group supplies mining collision-avoidance and proximity-detection technologies, while Bitiki and selected energy-related investments sit alongside the mineral platform.
Public unitholders own common units, but Alliance Resource Management GP, LLC manages the partnership as its sole general partner. Profitability depends significantly on acquisitions that expand coal and oil-and-gas reserves and production.
