Provides deposit, lending and other banking services to lower- and middle-income individuals and small and mid-sized businesses through a universal-bank model. The business moved from wholesale banking into retail banking and built its branch network through acquisitions and subsequent mergers of Argentine banks.
Operates a nationwide Argentine branch network, making the country both its operating market and a geographic concentration. Its New York-traded ADS represents ten Class B shares. The recent integration of Banco Itaú Argentina added banking, asset-management and securities operations, while the business remains shaped by Argentine banking operations.
