Profile

Cytek Biosciences, Inc.CTKBHealth Care

Makes spectral flow cytometers, led by the Aurora platform, that read each fluorochrome's full emission curve to profile 30 or more markers per sample. Instruments are sold alongside proprietary reagents, analysis software, and service contracts, with sales concentrated among pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic research customers.

Builds spectral flow cytometers that capture each fluorochrome's full emission curve instead of a single peak, letting labs run panels of 30 or more markers on benchtop hardware. The Aurora platform, introduced in 2017, anchors a lineup that now spans a lower-cost Northern Lights analyzer and a newer high-throughput Aurora Evo model.

A 2023 acquisition added imaging and conventional flow cytometry lines, broadening the hardware beyond the original spectral method. Instruments are sold alongside proprietary antibody reagents, unmixing and analysis software, and installation and maintenance services, so revenue continues through consumables and service contracts after each sale.

Most sales go to pharmaceutical, biotech, and contract-research customers, with the remainder in academic and government labs. Financial reporting treats the business as a single operating segment, split only between product and service revenue.
