Profile

Standard BioTools Inc.LABHealth Care

Provides CyTOF and Hyperion mass-cytometry platforms, Biomark X9 microfluidic genomics systems, related consumables, software and services. Continuing operations are concentrated in retained life-science tools after the SomaScan sale, while the pending Treeline merger could change the listed company's identity if it closes.

Operates as a life-science-tools supplier focused on retained mass cytometry and microfluidic genomics. Current lines include CyTOF XT and CyTOF XT PRO for high-parameter single-cell analysis, Hyperion XTi for imaging mass cytometry, Biomark X9 for PCR, qPCR and NGS library-prep workflows, plus Maxpar, IMC and Advanta consumables.

Revenue comes from instruments, consumables and services, with consumables tied to active instrument use. Operations are global, but the employee base is mostly outside the United States, and manufacturing is concentrated in Singapore for microfluidics and Canada for mass-cytometry instruments and reagents.

The business excludes SomaScan after the Illumina sale. Products are sold for research use only, and the pending Treeline merger could shift the listed security from life-science tools to a Treeline-led drug-development company if it closes.
