Profile

Everest Re Group, Ltd.EGFinancials

Underwrites property, casualty and specialty risks for insurers and commercial clients worldwide, earning premiums across Reinsurance Treaty and Global Wholesale & Specialty. Treaty reinsurance supplies most business, while Legacy contains exposures from exited retail and older casualty portfolios.

Underwrites treaty reinsurance for insurers and wholesale specialty coverage for commercial clients across the United States, Bermuda and international markets. Reinsurance Treaty spans property, casualty, financial lines and other specialty risks; Global Wholesale & Specialty writes property, specialty casualty, professional liability, accident and health, and workers' compensation. Treaty business supplies most premiums through proportional and excess-of-loss structures.

Focuses capital on these two underwriting franchises after transferring global commercial retail renewal rights and agreeing to sell remaining retail operations in Canada, Colombia and Mexico. A separate Legacy segment manages older casualty, asbestos and environmental, and other runoff exposures. Earnings remain structurally exposed to catastrophe losses, casualty reserve development, insurance pricing cycles, counterparty recoveries and returns on the invested premium base.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
