Profile

East West Bancorp, Inc.EWBCFinancials

Provides consumer, business, and commercial banking across a U.S.-centered branch network with licensed operations in China and Hong Kong. Deposits, lending, trade finance, treasury management, foreign exchange, and wealth services support domestic and cross-border customers, while the model depends on credit quality, deposit funding, and banking regulation across multiple jurisdictions.

Operating through East West Bank, the holding company provides consumer and business banking, commercial banking, and treasury services across the United States and Asia. Deposits, wealth management, real-estate and business lending, trade finance, treasury management, foreign exchange, and derivatives support retail, middle-market, and cross-border customers.

A branch network concentrated in the United States is complemented by branches in China and Hong Kong and representative offices in China and Singapore. A locally licensed China bank extends the model beyond representative coverage.

Long-standing leadership has carried the institution from an underserved-community thrift into a commercial bank linking customers and capital across the Pacific. Execution rests on relationship banking, multilingual service, and regulated banking operations. The business depends on credit quality, deposit funding, banking regulation across multiple jurisdictions, and demand for U.S.–Asia commerce.
