Profile

First BanCorp.FBPFinancials

Operates FirstBank Puerto Rico across Puerto Rico, southern Florida, and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, earning mainly from deposit-funded commercial, consumer, auto, and mortgage lending plus card, transaction, and insurance fees. Most loan exposure remains in Puerto Rico, linking results closely to the island’s credit and deposit conditions.

Operates FirstBank Puerto Rico and FirstBank Insurance Agency across Puerto Rico, southern Florida, and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. Six reporting segments cover Commercial and Corporate Banking, Mortgage Banking, Consumer (Retail) Banking, Treasury and Investments, United States Operations, and Virgin Islands Operations.

Builds the franchise around deposits and lending relationships spanning commercial and real estate credit, auto and personal loans, residential mortgages, cards, cash management, and insurance agency services. Branch and digital channels gather deposits, while net interest income provides the core earnings stream and transaction, card, mortgage, and other fees add noninterest revenue.

Most loan exposure remains in Puerto Rico, with smaller books centered on southern Florida and the Virgin Islands. Results depend on local credit quality, customer deposits, wholesale funding access, and compliance with U.S., Puerto Rico, Florida, and Virgin Islands banking rules.
