Profile

BankUnited, Inc.BKUFinancials

Provides commercial and consumer banking, earning mainly from interest spreads on loans, investments, deposits, and borrowings. A Florida and New York-centered footprint is supplemented by regional commercial offices, national specialty platforms, and online consumer deposits, all reported as one segment.

Provides commercial and consumer banking through BankUnited, N.A., with banking centers in Florida, metropolitan New York, and Dallas. Commercial offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Morristown extend the footprint, while national platforms and an online channel serve customers elsewhere.

Products include commercial and industrial credit, commercial real estate finance, mortgage warehouse lending, residential mortgages, deposits, treasury services, and capital-markets products. The platform combines regional relationship coverage with specialty capabilities as the balance sheet shifts toward core commercial loans and customer deposits.

Operates as a single reportable segment. Earnings depend chiefly on the spread between returns on loans and investments and costs of deposits and borrowings, alongside credit performance. Commercial real estate, interest rates, and deposit stability are recurring exposures. The holding company is regulated by the Federal Reserve and the national bank by the OCC.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
