Profile

Frontdoor, Inc.FTDRConsumer Discretionary

Sells typically annual home warranties for systems and appliances through renewal, direct-to-consumer and real estate channels. Service is fulfilled by a nationwide independent-contractor network, while 2-10 HBW adds builder-backed and insurance-backed warranties for newly built homes.

Sells home warranty plans under American Home Shield, HSA, OneGuard and Landmark, covering breakdowns in major systems and appliances. Through 2-10 HBW, it also provides builder-backed and insurance-backed warranties for workmanship, distribution systems and structural components in new homes, plus claims administration.

Most revenue comes from annual customer contracts, led by renewals; first-year plans are sold directly and through real estate transactions. Service requests are routed through a nationwide network of independent contractor firms, supported by virtual diagnosis and contractor workflow tools.

Results depend on retention, pricing, weather-driven claim volume, contractor capacity, and parts, appliance and labor costs. Home and builder warranties, telemarketing, data use and contractor activity are governed by federal and state consumer, service-contract and insurance rules.
