Profile

Griffon CorporationGFFMaterials

Manufactures residential and commercial doors through Clopay and ceiling fans through Hunter, earning product sales across dealer, home-center, and distribution channels. Continuing operations are now a single North American building-products segment, with minority exposure to separated AMES businesses.

Manufactures and markets residential garage doors, commercial sectional doors, rolling steel doors, and grilles across North America through Clopay. Brands include Clopay, IDEAL, and Holmes for sectional doors and Cornell and Cookson for rolling-steel products. Hunter, Casablanca, and Jan Fan add residential, industrial, and commercial ceiling fans. Sales run through professional installing dealers, home-center chains, and a North American distribution network, with repair and remodeling supplying most of the door business.

Execution rests on broad product ranges, dealer support, local inventory, and quick delivery. Demand follows home repair, new housing, commercial construction, and replacement activity; galvanized steel is the main door input, and Home Depot and Menards are significant customers. Following the AMES separation, continuing operations comprise one building-products segment, while minority stakes and debt claims retain exposure to two AMES joint ventures.
