Profile

Helmerich & Payne, Inc.HPEnergy

Provides contract drilling rigs, crews, and automation to oil and gas producers in North American and international land markets, plus offshore platform-rig management and BENTEC equipment engineering. Revenue depends chiefly on rig activity, dayrates, and customer capital spending.

Provides contract land drilling rigs, crews, and technology to oil and gas producers through North America Solutions and International Solutions. The FlexRig fleet and automation software support horizontal and directional well execution, while BENTEC designs, manufactures, upgrades, and services drilling equipment.

Offshore Solutions supplies platform-rig equipment and crews and manages customer-owned rigs in U.S. federal waters and markets including the North Sea and Caspian Sea. North America remains the largest business, while the KCA Deutag acquisition added substantial Middle Eastern and other international land operations.

Uses a standardized fleet, remote monitoring, and automation to reduce drilling variability and nonproductive time. Results depend on producer capital spending, rig utilization, dayrates, and reliable field execution; fixed costs do not fall in step with idle capacity, and customer contracts can permit early termination or suspension.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
