Profile

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc.IBKRFinancials

Provides automated execution, clearing, custody, prime brokerage, and margin and securities lending to individual and institutional customers worldwide. Revenue comes mainly from interest earned on customer cash and margin loans and from trading commissions, supported by a proprietary platform spanning many markets and asset classes.

Executes, clears and settles trades for individual investors, advisers, hedge and mutual funds, proprietary trading firms and introducing brokers through a single global brokerage segment. Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, mobile apps and APIs provide access to stocks, options, futures, forex, bonds, funds, precious metals, cryptocurrencies and forecast contracts across more than 170 electronic exchanges and market centers.

Earns primarily from net interest on customer cash and margin loans and from trading commissions, while also providing custody, prime brokerage and securities lending. Proprietary order routing, clearing and real-time risk systems automate the trade lifecycle and support low transaction and financing costs across U.S. and international markets. Results depend on interest rates and customer trading activity; operations depend on reliable electronic market access, clearing relationships and licenses across heavily regulated jurisdictions.
