Liquid-nitrogen cryoablation systems and disposable probes treat targeted tumor tissue through a minimally invasive local procedure. Revenue combines console sales or placements with recurring disposable use, while commercialization relies on clinical evidence, regulatory authorization, and direct and distributor channels.
Designs, develops, manufactures and markets liquid-nitrogen cryoablation systems that guide a needle-like probe into benign or malignant tumors, freezing targeted tissue with a surrounding ice ball. ProSense is the lead single-probe platform; IceSense3 is the earlier commercial system, while XSense is FDA-cleared for existing ProSense-cleared indications and MSense remains in development.
Earns product revenue from console sales or placements, proprietary disposable CryoProbes, and related services. Hospitals, interventional-radiology centers, ambulatory facilities and private clinics are customers. Products reach markets directly and through distributors, with the largest reported revenue bucket including Europe and other territories.
FDA authorization for ProSense covers local treatment for a defined low-risk breast-cancer population in the United States rather than general replacement for breast surgery. The authorization carries a postmarket clinical-validation study requirement; non-U.S. commercialization also depends materially on distributor relationships.
