Profile
Develops mutation-specific AAV gene therapies for inherited retinal diseases while retaining partnered phentolamine eye-drop economics and APX3330 development. Revenue comes from the Viatris collaboration, while the gene-therapy candidates remain investigational.
Develops a portfolio of mutation-specific AAV gene-therapy programs for inherited retinal diseases, including OPGx-LCA5 and OPGx-BEST1 in human testing, alongside preclinical and pre-IND candidates. The portfolio targets underlying genetic causes of severe retinal disorders and is developed through academic licenses, clinical sites, contract organizations, and partner support.
Retains small-molecule ophthalmology assets from Ocuphire. Viatris commercializes RYZUMVI for reversal of pharmacologically induced mydriasis and funds development activities under its license; phentolamine is also being studied for presbyopia and night-driving impairment, while APX3330 is a post-midstage diabetic-retinopathy asset. All reported revenue comes from the Viatris collaboration, and every gene-therapy candidate remains investigational.
