Profile

The Kroger Co.KRConsumer Staples

Sells groceries, fresh food, pharmacy products, and fuel through regional supermarket banners and digital channels. Store traffic supports private brands, personalized promotions, and a smaller media and data business, while nearly all revenue still comes from retail product sales.

Operates supermarkets across much of the United States under regional banners including Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, and Harris Teeter. Stores and digital channels sell fresh and shelf-stable groceries, general merchandise, pharmacy products, and fuel, while Our Brands supplies private-label ranges. Pickup and delivery extend the store network within a single reportable segment.

Uses loyalty data and 84.51° analytics to personalize offers and sell advertising through Kroger Precision Marketing. Scale in sourcing, food manufacturing, distribution, and local store operations supports assortment and pricing across banners. Results remain tied to grocery price competition, labor and union relations, supply-chain costs, fuel margins, and pharmacy reimbursement. Nearly all revenue comes from product sales in stores, fuel centers, and online; media and data services are smaller.
