Profile
Develops off-the-shelf allogeneic cell-replacement therapies from pluripotent stem cells, generating collaboration and license-related revenue while candidates remain investigational. Its shared AlloSCOPE platform supports retinal, spinal-cord, hearing and corneal programs, with OpRegen licensed to Roche/Genentech.
Develops off-the-shelf, allogeneic cell-replacement therapies from pluripotent stem cells, using its AlloSCOPE manufacturing platform to create differentiated cells for damaged tissues. Revenue comes principally from collaboration, licensing and research obligations rather than product sales, with no approved therapy or established sales infrastructure.
The portfolio spans OpRegen retinal-pigment-epithelium cells for geographic atrophy, OPC1 oligodendrocyte progenitor cells for spinal-cord injury, ReSonance for hearing loss, COR1 for corneal disease, and early manufacturing and photoreceptor programs. Roche/Genentech holds worldwide rights to OpRegen, while internal programs share development and manufacturing work.
All therapeutic candidates remain investigational. Manufacturing is centered at its Jerusalem subsidiary, so commercialization depends on clinical results, regulatory review, specialized delivery, scalable cell production, collaborators and a single manufacturing site.
