Profile

Lionsgate Studios Corp.LIONCommunication Services

Develops and distributes films and television programming, earning from theatrical releases, home entertainment, platform and territory licensing, and 3 Arts talent-management commissions. Motion Picture and Television Production operations share a deep content library after the separation from Starz.

Develops, produces, acquires and distributes feature films through the Motion Picture segment, earning from theatrical exhibition, home entertainment, television licensing, international rights and ancillary uses. The Television Production segment creates and distributes scripted, unscripted and non-fiction programming and includes 3 Arts Entertainment, which earns talent-management commissions and producer fees.

Pairs new releases with a film-and-television library of more than 20,000 titles, extending content across streaming, broadcast, cable, packaged media and location-based or interactive experiences. International film rights are generally licensed territory by territory, while selected markets use direct distribution.

Production incentives, co-financing and pre-licensing help limit project exposure, but cash is committed before release and results depend on content acceptance, delivery timing and distribution windows. The post-separation studio continues to license some original productions to Starz.
