Profile
Produces flat, long and tubular steel, mines iron ore, and processes or distributes downstream products for automotive, construction, energy and other industrial customers. Operations span Europe, the Americas, India and joint ventures, with steel demand, energy costs, trade policy and carbon regulation shaping performance.
Organizes operations across North America, Brazil, Europe, India and joint ventures, Sustainable Solutions, and Mining. Flat, long and tubular steel serve automotive, construction, energy, packaging and machinery customers, while mining supplies iron ore and downstream units provide tubes, tailored blanks, processing and distribution.
Runs primary steelmaking across multiple continents, with Europe the largest external-sales region and substantial businesses in the Americas. Integration from raw materials through steelmaking and first-stage transformation supports product breadth, while a global research network develops steelmaking, mining and decarbonization technologies.
Depends on steel demand, raw-material and energy costs, trade defenses, carbon policy, safe operation of mines and mills, and reliable logistics. Lower-carbon investment also depends on renewable power, hydrogen economics, border measures and customer willingness to pay.
