Profile
Sells electricity and natural gas through Reliant, Direct Energy, and other brands, provides monitored smart-home services through Vivint, and serves business users with CPower demand response. Owned generation and external supply support customer load across competitive North American energy markets.
Sells electricity and natural gas to residential, commercial, industrial, data-center, and wholesale customers across competitive markets in the United States and Canada. Reliant, Direct Energy, Green Mountain Energy, and NRG carry the retail offering, while Vivint combines installed smart-home equipment, software, professional monitoring, and service.
Balances that customer load with about 25 GW of owned power generation, now largely natural-gas-fired after the LS Power portfolio acquisition, plus third-party supply and hedging. CPower adds demand response for commercial and industrial users. The model links retail acquisition and service with generation dispatch, fuel procurement, market operations, and plant maintenance. Results depend on weather and customer demand, commodity and capacity prices, generation availability, and rules set by ERCOT, PJM, other grid operators, and state or provincial regulators.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
