Profile

PPG Industries, Inc.PPGMaterials

Sells architectural paints and highly specified coatings for aircraft, vehicle repair, marine assets, road markings, factories and packaging. Revenue spans branded retail channels and direct sales to manufacturers, with customer-specific formulations and a global supply chain dependent on chemical feedstocks.

Manufactures paints, coatings and specialty products through Global Architectural Coatings, Performance Coatings and Industrial Coatings. Architectural brands such as Comex and Tikkurila reach contractors and consumers across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific through company stores, dealers, distributors and retailers.

Supplies aerospace coatings, automotive refinish systems, protective and marine finishes, and traffic-marking products for aftermarket and infrastructure uses. Direct-to-factory businesses formulate coatings, adhesives and pretreatments for automotive OEMs, industrial equipment and consumer products, while packaging coatings protect metal cans and closures.

Builds customer-specific formulations and integrates technical service into manufacturing lines, supported by laboratories near customers and a footprint spanning more than 50 countries. Production depends on externally sourced resins, solvents, titanium dioxide and other feedstocks; product formulations and supply also face evolving chemical-registration requirements.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
