The J. M. Smucker CompanySJMConsumer Staples

Sells branded coffee, frozen sandwiches and spreads, pet food and snacks, sweet baked goods, and foodservice products through retail and away-from-home channels. Most business is U.S.-based, and the portfolio is anchored by Folgers, Uncrustables, Jif, Meow Mix, Milk-Bone, and Hostess, with Dunkin' packaged coffee sold under license.

Markets branded coffee, frozen handhelds and spreads, pet foods, sweet baked snacks, and away-from-home products, primarily through North American retailers and foodservice distributors. Folgers, Dunkin' packaged coffee, and Café Bustelo anchor coffee; Uncrustables, Jif, and Smucker's cover frozen sandwiches and spreads; Meow Mix and Milk-Bone span cat food and dog snacks; Hostess supplies snack cakes and doughnuts.

Execution rests on brand and category management, product innovation, customer service, and an integrated distribution network. Most sales come from the United States, with Canada the main international market. The portfolio depends on volatile agricultural commodities, licensed Dunkin' trademarks, concentrated retail distribution, and several primary or single-source suppliers. Walmart and Sam's Club account for roughly one-third of sales, while food labeling, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution remain subject to extensive regulation.
